Education software
records the day. Stunett runs it.

Legacy systems are filing cabinets with a login — data goes in, reports come out, and nothing happens until a human notices. Stunett flags the chronic absentee, chases the overdue fee and finds cover for the teacher on leave, escalating to a person only when it has to.

The difference

It isn't more fields. It's whether the system acts.

Every Stunett module carries workflow logic, not just storage. Here is the same data in a record-keeper, and in an operating system.

01 Attendance records
Auto-flags chronic absentees, notifies parent and class teacher the same day, escalates to admin after N consecutive absences
02 Fee dues
Triggers reminders on a schedule, suggests payment plans, and can hold report-card release on overdue fees — if you switch that on
03 Exam marks
Flags at-risk students from grade-trend decline and raises intervention alerts for teachers and counsellors before finals
04 Timetable data
Detects and resolves clashes, and suggests a substitute the moment a teacher's leave is approved
05 Library issue & return
Reminds before the due date and blocks re-issue while a fine is outstanding
06 HR and leave data
Routes approvals by policy and flags understaffed periods that will need cover
07 Admission enquiries
Nurtures stalled enquiries with follow-up sequences and ranks applicants against your merit criteria

How it works

Six modules, one morning on campus.

Scroll, and watch the same Tuesday move through the system — who applied, who is missing, who owes, who is slipping, who is covering, and who gets told.

01

Admissions that chase themselves

An enquiry arrives at 23:40 from a parent's phone. The form captures it, the system ranks the applicant against your merit criteria, and the follow-up sequence starts without anyone opening a spreadsheet.

Enquiry → application → test → seat, with RTE quota and sibling priority applied as rules rather than as someone's memory.

02

Attendance that raises its hand

A teacher marks the class in about thirty seconds, from the app, offline if the signal has gone. The register is only the beginning: the third consecutive absence is a fact the system acts on the same morning.

Daily for K-12, period-wise for higher ed, with biometric and RFID devices feeding the same register.

03

Fees that collect themselves

Reminders go out on a schedule you set, in the language the family reads. Large dues get an instalment plan offered automatically. Defaulters surface as a list, not as a surprise at the end of term.

UPI, card and netbanking, receipts with optional GST and TDS, transport and hostel bundled into one bill.

04

Results that warn you early

Marks go in once; grades, CGPA, rank and the board-format report card come out. More usefully, a grade sliding across two terms raises an intervention while there is still a term left to fix it.

CBSE, ICSE and state templates for K-12; internals, semesters, SGPA and revaluation for college.

05

A timetable that heals

Approve a teacher's leave and the gap it leaves is already being solved: clashes detected, a substitute with the right subject and a free period proposed, the change pushed to every affected parent and student.

Class timetables for K-12, program and semester scheduling for higher ed, exam schedules generated from the same constraints.

06

Messages that actually arrive

One composer, four channels, and the audience picked by rule rather than by pasting numbers. Delivery and read receipts come back, and anything critical that goes unread escalates to a second channel on its own.

WhatsApp-first, because that is where Indian parents read — with SMS, email and push behind it.

The platform

Sixteen modules on one shared core.

Each module is a separately installable app, so a superadmin toggles it per institution — you run what you need and never see fields for what you don't.

On the phone

One app for everyone — and it works when the signal doesn't.

Parents, students, teachers, office staff and leadership open the same app. The screens each person sees are assembled from the roles they hold, so nobody is handed a menu of things they cannot do.

AndroidGoogle Play iPhoneAdd to Home Screen
  • Offline is the normal case, not the error case. What you have seen stays on the device, encrypted behind a fingerprint or a PIN. Attendance you mark with no bars waits in an outbox and is applied exactly once when the signal comes back — never twice.
  • Your school's own app, if you want one. The generic Stunett app carries an institution picker; a school, college or university that would rather have its own name and icon on the home screen gets a branded build under its own Play account.
  • A stolen backup is not a bag of logins. Each installed app gets its own token, stored only as a hash, revocable per device from the office.
  • The phone is not a lesser citizen. Parents pay fees, track the bus and confirm a meeting slot; teachers mark attendance, enter marks and post homework — the same permissions, the same audit trail.

Intelligence

AI is the point here, not a badge on the box.

The copilot and the predictive flags ride on data the MVP modules already collect, which is why they ship in Phase 1 rather than in a roadmap slide.

Conversational copilot

Ask for the report instead of building it — "show Class 8 students below 75% attendance this month". Draft a circular, notice or parent message from a one-line prompt. Voice queries for a phone-based fee and admission assistant.

Ships in MVP

Predictive analytics

At-risk students from attendance and grade trend combined, fee-default likelihood scoring, admission-yield forecasting and dropout-risk flags early enough to counsel.

Ships in MVP

Vision & voice

Face-recognition attendance, OCR document verification that reads an uploaded marksheet or ID straight into the application, and a voice interface for vernacular-first users.

Phase 2–3

Personalisation

Adaptive learning paths from quiz performance, circulars and report cards auto-translated into the parent's language, and fee reminders tuned to how that family actually pays.

Phase 2

Trust & safety

Plagiarism detection on submissions, AI proctoring for online exams, and sentiment analysis across parent–teacher threads so an unresolved grievance surfaces before it escalates.

Phase 2–3

Institutional intelligence

NAAC, NBA and UGC accreditation data compiled from records you already keep, and anomaly detection across attendance, fees and finance — a sudden drop surfaces on its own instead of waiting for someone to build the report that would have shown it.

Phase 2–3

The engine

Rules, not seven hand-rolled cron jobs.

One automation layer sits under the core and every module plugs into it. Modules emit domain events — attendance.absent, fee.overdue, marks.published — and never learn who is listening. Adding "also text the counsellor after five absences" is a row in a table.

  • A closed expression language. Conditions are (field, operator, value) clauses joined by AND and OR — nothing else. A rule written by a school admin runs against live student data, so there is no eval() with a friendly form on top of it.
  • An escalation ladder. If nobody acts in N days the item climbs to the next role. A run that missed a week catches up to where the item should already be, instead of firing one rung a night.
  • A real end state. When the ladder runs out the item becomes Exhausted — meaning a human is needed, not another nightly ping to someone who has already ignored four.
  • Yours once you touch it. Nine rules and eight templates ship seeded and are never overwritten on deploy, so an institution that tunes one keeps it.

Two verticals

K-12 and higher education are not the same institution.

They share a core — student master, fee engine, communication, custom fields, roles. Everything that differs lives in a separate vertical app on top, so neither is a compromise of the other.

Who logs in

Twenty-eight roles. Four people who matter most.

Roles, role profiles and the permission matrix live in version control and are re-applied on every migration — so what a cashier can see is a reviewed change, not a checkbox someone ticked once.

One login. Every child. Even across a trust's school and university.

  • Real-time absence alerts the morning it happens — on WhatsApp, where you actually read them
  • Pay fees online, download receipts, see the full payment history and what's coming
  • Report cards and the marks trend across terms, not a single PDF a year
  • Track the school bus live and get pickup and drop confirmation
  • Message teachers, confirm a PTM slot, approve a hostel leave request
  • Homework status, circulars and events — in your preferred language

Mark it in thirty seconds, correct it without ringing the office.

  • Attendance per class or per period, from the app, offline if the network is down
  • A mark is never locked — fix it same day yourself; after the window it goes up as an Attendance Amendment Request with a reason and no self-approval
  • Marks entry for your subjects, by form or bulk upload, with class performance reports
  • Post homework, grade submissions, upload content, track who is falling behind
  • Send class circulars, message parents, schedule PTMs
  • See your schedule, free periods, and request a substitution

Run the institution from a dashboard that tells you what needs you.

  • Institution-wide dashboards for attendance, collection and academic trend
  • Build fee structures, apply scholarships, reconcile payments, chase defaulters
  • Configure grading schemes, lock and publish results, issue consolidated reports
  • Write automation rules and escalation ladders without touching code
  • Add custom fields, toggle modules, manage the 28-role permission model
  • Compliance packs — RTE, UGC and AICTE, NAAC and NBA — compiled from live records

Everything about you, in one place you can actually reach.

  • Your attendance percentage and absence history — and a warning before eligibility slips
  • Marks, report cards, rank and percentile; apply for revaluation in college
  • Timetable, exam schedule and the holiday calendar
  • Homework and quizzes, submitted from the app
  • Fee dues and receipts; library issues, due dates and reservations
  • Request certificates — bonafide, transfer, character — and download them when issued

Architecture & trust

The boring guarantees, stated plainly.

Most of what goes wrong with an education platform goes wrong after the sale. These are the decisions that decide whether year three is still pleasant.

No cross-contamination

Per-site isolation means one institution's customisation never reaches another's data, and a platform update never breaks a customisation you paid for. A trust running four campuses runs four isolated sites with one dashboard over them.

Your data, exportable

Full ownership and export at any time, with self-hosting available. No lock-in as a retention strategy.

Published pricing

Transparent per-student, per-month pricing — not "contact us for a quote" and a number that depends on how you asked.

Grading is tested, not trusted

The marks arithmetic and attendance rules live in pure Python with no framework imports, and 96 unit tests run on every pull request — every band boundary, the rounding rule, backlog resolution, co-scholastic exclusion, compartment rules, the edit windows and the fee posting split. A wrong grade on a report card is the fastest way to lose an institution.

Permissions are code

A permission changed by clicking in the UI is reverted by the next migration — deliberately. The model in version control is the model on the site.

Proven foundations

Accounting, payroll, payments and statutory compliance run on mature open-source components that have been audited in production for years — adopted, not rewritten from scratch for a first release.

GST is off by default

Core tuition is generally exempt in India, so most pilots never need it — and an institution with GST off never sees a GST field. Switched on, it applies per fee head: only heads flagged GST-applicable route through a Sales Invoice, a bill carrying both kinds splits into two postings that are asserted to reconcile, and a head missing its HSN or SAC is refused rather than posted at zero tax, which would look filed and not be.

Built for here

Designed around how Indian institutions actually run.

WhatsApp-first

Not app-first with WhatsApp bolted on. Parents read WhatsApp; an alert that lands anywhere else is an alert that did not land.

Vernacular

Interface and parent communication in Hindi, Tamil, Marathi and more — including auto-translated circulars and report cards.

One parent login

Across multiple children, multiple classes, and a trust running several institutions.

Compliance built in

RTE quota, UGC and AICTE, NAAC and NBA accreditation data pre-formatted for the audit rather than assembled the week before.

DPDP Act 2023

Parental consent mechanisms for under-18 data, with the institution as controller and Stunett as processor under a written DPA.

Offline-first mobile

Attendance and basic entry work with no connectivity and sync when the signal returns. Android, and the same app on iPhone.

White-glove migration

From spreadsheets, paper or whatever you are running today — because switching cost, not features, is what keeps institutions on software they dislike.

A stated go-live

A date in the contract, not "soon". Onboarding is a commitment we are willing to be held to.

Pilot programme

We are looking for one or two pilot institutions.

Stunett is in active build. Phase 1 — admissions, student records, attendance, timetable, fees, exams, communication and dashboards — is what a pilot runs on, and a pilot institution shapes what Phase 2 becomes. If you are willing to put a real term through it, we would like to talk.

  • Migration from your current records handled by us
  • Direct line to the people building it, not a ticket queue
  • Pilot pricing, and your data exportable whenever you want it
